This week’s newsletter:
Angie once had a side job that paid $50/hour. 💰 She tended to work overtime cause it made her healthier and happier.
It all started after we moved to this gorgeous neighborhood.
Angie worked from home, which sounds dreamy until you realize she was basically trapped inside four walls while perfect summer weather taunted her through the windows. 🥺
Day after day, she'd stare longingly at the scene outside 👁️🫦👁️ - charming houses, lush greenery, sunshine 🌞 practically begging her to come play.
Yet somehow, she never managed to pry herself off the chair to actually experience any of it. 🤷🏻♀️
What she needed was a purpose. 🤌 A reason to get out there. Something that would make her accountable.
And then one day, scrolling through apps, she found it! 💡
Months passed before her first client appeared: Kate, 🐶 this adorably chubby old dog with quirky preferences - hills were a hard no, and she only walked in the shades.
Every day at 1:30 PM, rain or shine, they embarked on their adventures together.
That's right - Angie had become a dog walker 🦮🚶🏻♀️ on Rover.
Those daily excursions transformed into something magical for her. ✨
With Kate by her side, they explored hidden corners of the neighborhood, soaking in views of glimmering water, snow-capped mountains, moss patches, and wildflowers while conquering every alley and hill. 💚
Even now, long after our travels forced her to quit, 😔 Angie speaks of these walks like therapy. Neighbor chats, daily discoveries, and sneaky cardio 🫀 became her daily highlights.
The cherry on top? She spent every dog-walking dollar on amazing food. 🤤 Her secret formula for happiness: "stacking dopamine and serotonin, repeat."
But the story doesn't end there!
Angie still gets her daily walk fix whenever we dogsit Lima, Tyler's friend's pup. Lima loves walks and pulls like crazy – free arm workout! 💪
They recently found this gorgeous hidden spot, where the neighbor plans to trim branches and add a public bench. Classic generous PNW spirit! 💚
Just a 10-minute walk from home!!! Looks like we've found our new picnic spot! 🤭
There's a profound difference between someone who makes lots of money and someone who is truly rich.
The money-maker is obsessed with accumulating more than they need. They chase endless wealth, constantly moving the "enough" goalpost.
The truly rich person earns just what they need to enjoy life's real treasures—time, good health, relationships, and experiences—recognizing that "sufficient" is the true wealth.
True richness ✨ might mean Tuesday afternoon nature walk, weekend hikes, slow mornings, midday naps, lingering dinners with friends, or pursuing soul-filling passions that don't necessarily pay well.
Making money is necessary, but it should serve your life, not become it. The wealthiest person isn't the one with the most zeroes—it's the one who needs the least to be content.
Hope it's helpful for your journey to Freedom 🙏
